The Department for Transport (DfT) has opened a consultation on proposed changes to traffic regulation order (TRO) processes and requirements. DfT has said that the changes include adding a requirement for traffic authorities to publish data on all TROs, service levels for TRO applicants, removing the need for the Secretary of State to approve events which close a road under certain circumstances, and reviewing the list of statutory consultees. The consultation will close on 17 April 2022.
