Article summary

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has announced that small firms across the UK will now be able to benefit from free advice from ‘thousands of expert professionals and business services advisers’. The advice forms the Recovery Advice for Business Scheme and provides small firms access to one-to-one advice to assist with their recovery from the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Advice will include bespoke, specialist assistance from accountancy, legal, and advertising, to marketing, recruitment and digital. Each adviser has offered at least one hour of free advice a month until the end of 2020, with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, the Advertising Association and the Law Society among the professional bodies signed up to the scheme.
