The Committee of Privileges has published a report outlining how it will investigate the conduct of the Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP and detailed what steps the Committee will take to make the inquiry fair and transparent. According to the Committee, this will be achieved by collecting both public and anonymous evidence under oath, as ‘some witnesses may only be willing to give evidence if their identity is not made public’. However, Mr Johnson will also be kept aware of the content of the evidence and be able to challenge it, if necessary, to keep the inquiry fair.
