HM Land Registry has announced that Carlisle City Council’s land charges data has been migrated to its central charges register. As of 21 April 2020, those who require Local Land Charges (LLC1) searches in the Carlisle City Council authority area will need to refer to HM Land Registry as opposed to going to the council. Director of Transformation at HM Land Registry, Karina Singh, has highlighted the advantages of the new system, as individuals will now have immediate online access to local land charges in Carlisle. She also stressed the importance of being able to access public services digitally and in a timely manner, whereby possible.
