The Defence Committee has launched an inquiry into the Indo-Pacific, exploring the UK’s political, diplomatic, economic and operational interests. A closer defence co-operation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will also be considered. The Committee will further review progress on the goals set out by the Defence Command Paper. The consultation closes on 4 March 2022.
