The Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB) has released an updated draft of its Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) for accounting by Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) for commentary. This consultation document which invites feedback until 22 July 2025, incorporates amendments from recent changes to FRS 102, responses to the 2024 LLPs SORP consultation, and updates under the Companies (Accounts and Reports) (Amendment and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2024, SI 2024/1303. Notable proposals include: mandating enhanced disclosures for small LLPs, revising guidance for post-retirement payments and members’ remuneration (especially concerning the presentation in parent group accounts), and updating monetary thresholds for micro, small, and medium-sized entities. The revised SORP, aimed at ensuring comparability and improved financial reporting by LLPs, is proposed to take effect for periods starting on or after 1 January 2026.
