Labour Together, a Labour Party-affiliated think tank, has published a policy paper outlining proposals for the devolution of public services to local authorities in England. The paper recommends that strategic authorities take responsibility for health, education and criminal justice services, with accountability aligned to local democratic institutions. It proposes devolving health, education, and criminal justice services to strategic authorities and local councils, appointing local ‘commissioners’ under the new Devolution Bill, and overhauling fiscal policies to grant local governments greater revenue autonomy and accountability. The proposals form part of a broader strategy to restore local civic power through public service, fiscal and constitutional reforms over the next decade.

Belgian employment law is largely uncodified, except for the Health and Safety Code and the Social Penal Code.
