The Welsh Government has published two guidance documents on the Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Act 2022, which will bring an end to the poor practices for new leases surrounding the charging of high and escalating ground rents. The Act received Royal Assent following the approval of a legislative consent motion and will be commenced on 30 June 2022. The guidance documents published are statutory guidance for enforcement authorities and guidance for leaseholders, landlords and managing agents.
