The Welsh Government has announced that 24 community projects in Wales have been given a share of more than £1.78m in funding from the Welsh Government under the Community Facilities Programme. The money will be used to improve sustainability and provide opportunities for local people. Communities are being awarded up to £250,000, including Canolfan Glanhwfa Cyf in Angsley, receiving £250,000 to refurbish the Chapel and create a community hub and smaller funds such as Llanarthne New Village Hall in Carmarthenshire which will receive £25,000 for completion of disabled toilets, baby changing facilities and shower facilities.
