RPC comments on lack of impact assessment for Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Bill

The Regulatory Policy Committee (RPC) has provided an updated statement on the lack of impact assessment (IA) for the Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Bill. The RPC has highlighted that the Bill was introduced into Parliament on 10 January 2023, passed by the House of Commons on 30 January 2023 and had a first reading in the House of Lords on 31 January 2023. RPC has commented that the the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy submitted the IA on 2 February 2023 whereas it should have been submitted before the Bill was laid before Parliament to give the RPC enough time to give an opinion. The RPC says that they are hoping to produce the opinion as soon as possible.
