The Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) has written an open letter regarding Hamon & Others v University College London (UCL). The letter has been written to students involved in the Student Group Claim, their legal representatives, Students' Union UCL, as well as UCL and their legal representatives, with the aim to provide information about the OIA's role and the OIA's possible approach if students approach it with their complaints after consideration by UCL. The OIA has highlighted that if a large group of complaints do make their way to the OIA after being considered by UCL, then it will consider them under the 'Large Group Complaints' process, which enables handling of complaints both efficiently and fairly.
