Article summary
Ofgem has published its decision following a consultation on modifying its Electricity System Operator (ESO) Regulatory Instructions and Guidance (RIGs) and reporting templates for 2021–2022 annual reporting for RIIO-2. Ofgem has decided that there will no longer be a Revenue Regulatory Reporting Pack for RIIO-2, with the intention that the remaining elements of the ESO Revenue Workbook for 2021–2022, which was an interim replacement for the ESO’s RIIO-ET1 Revenue Regulatory Pack, will be incorporated into the C+O RRP and the ESO Price Control Financial Model from 2022–2023. This change takes effect from 1 April 2022, meaning data submitted on or before 31 July 2022 must comply with the new RIGs. Ofgem states this decision has been taken to ‘streamline’ and ‘update’ reporting requirements for the ESO’s RIIO-2 price control framework.
