The government has announced that there will be six new community diagnostic centres (CDCs) opening in the UK. The CDCs intend to deliver over 500,000 additional tests, checks and scans a year, cutting waiting lists for patients. The CDCs opening before the end of 2023 will cover regions including the East of England, Midlands and the South East, with the government investing £2.3bn of funding to deliver up to 160 CDCs by 2025.
