The House of Lords have reported that it has scheduled to continue the consideration of the Lords Spiritual (Women) Act 2015 (Extension) Bill on 16 October 2024. The aim of the Bill is to extend the provisions of the Lords Spiritual (Women) Act 2015 for a further five year period so that the appointment process in it expires on 17 May 2030 to increase the number of female bishops in the House.
