HS2 gets authorisation for network between West Midlands and Crewe

Parliament has authorised the next phase of HS2 as an Act relating to the extension from West Midlands to Crewe is given Royal Assent. This will create approximately 5,000 jobs and more in the supply chain which will aid Britain’s economy during the pandemic. This will also be the first new intercity railway built in the North of England for over 100 years.
