Scottish renewables has published its final responses to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy's (BEIS) consultation on addressing electricity supplier payment default under the Renewables Obligation (RO) scheme. Scottish Renewables has welcomed the proposals which supports the ‘balance between more frequent settlement, the complexities associated with legacy commercial agreements and ROC timing’. Scottish Renewables acknowledges that a rise in administrative burden may occur due to the change in the scheme, but argues that the benefits of early settlement outweighs the cost.
