Health and Social Care Secretary, Matt Hancock, has revealed that the government has made the decision to make face coverings mandatory in shops and supermarkets from 24 July 2020 amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Those who are caught not wearing a face covering within shops and supermarkets will be issued a fine of up to £100.
