The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has launched a consultation calling for evidence and views on how best to prevent, diagnose, treat and manage the six major conditions. The major conditions are ‘cancer, cardiovascular diseases including stroke and diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, dementia, mental ill health and musculoskeletal disorders’. DHSC has launched the call for evidence to inform a major conditions strategy for England. DHSC has said the call for evidence will build on two previous calls for evidence last year on mental health and cancer. The consultation closes on 27 June 2023.
