The Department for Education (DfE) has updated its guidance on building strong academy trusts to include the provision of trust partnerships guidance and trust partnership service level agreement. The Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, addressed the Confederation of Schools Trust Annual Conference on his vision for every school to be part of the multi-academy trust. Williamson emphasised that a multi-academy trust model provides leaders to take responsibility for supporting more schools and ‘developing great teachers’. DfE has announced that all schools will now be given the opportunity to ‘try the academy experience before they buy’, to examine the benefits of association with a multi-academy trust.
