The Mental Health Minister, Nadine Dorries, has announced that people struggling with their mental health during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will be offered online support as well as guidance created by Public Health England to help them cope. The guidance advises people to maintain contact with friends and family, keep a regular routine and sleeping pattern and focus on a hobby or learn something new. Parents and carers will receive tailored advice which includes being aware of their own reactions to the pandemic and creating a new routine. The plans have been endorsed by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as part of their commitment to mental health.
