Article summary

Dispute Resolution analysis: Following the success of the pilot scheme, all trials in the Chancery Division in London (including trials before Registrars and Masters) will, in future, be conducted on a fixed-end basis. This means each trial will, except in exceptional circumstances, be required to be completed within the period allocated to it. Parties therefore need to ensure that all time estimates are accurate, comprehensive and kept under review and revision. Failure to do so could result in the time available to them in court being shortened.
