The Office of the Secretary of State for Scotland and the UK Government Minister for Scotland, David Duguid, have published an update into the current state of the Scottish seafood industry. This included the announcement of a further £23m in funding to support fishing export business who can prove they have suffered an actual loss in the export of fish and shellfish to the EU. The financial support is specifically aimed at helping SMEs and will be able to be backdated to losses occurring from 1 January 2021.
