The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has opened a new office in Salford which is expected to see 420 departmental jobs by 2025. It was opened by the Business and Energy Minister Greg Hands. The new building comes part of a wider move towards policy reflecting the communities being served and making economic growth and job opportunities evenly distributed across the UK. Around 75 BEIS staff will be relocated by 2023 and 162 more will be recruited by the end of 2021.
