The European Commission and the High-Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence have unveiled the Assessment List for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (ALTAI)—a checklist intended to aid businesses and organisations when self-assessing the trustworthiness of their AI systems currently being developed. The concept of trustworthiness is based on seven requirements—human agency and oversight, technical robustness and safety, privacy and data governance, transparency, diversity, non-discrimination and fairness, environmental and social well-being, and accountability.
