TRA publishes Statement of Essential Facts proposing anti-dumping duties on Chinese biodiesel
The Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has published a Statement of Essential Facts, recommending anti-dumping duties on Chinese biodiesel imports. The investigation, initiated on 5 June 2024 following an application by the Renewable Transport Fuels Association on behalf of domestic producers, determined that Chinese biodiesel is being sold in the UK at unfairly low prices, resulting in material injury to the UK industry. The TRA proposes duties of 15.68% for the Zhuoyue Group and cooperating exporters and 54.64% for other exporters. The measures cover fatty-acid mono-alkyl esters and hydrotreated vegetable oils.
