23 Notices under statutory provisions

The express written notice to a debtor required by the Law of Property Act 1925 Section 136(1) before an assignment can take effect as a legal assignment1 need not be worded as a formal notice provided that it indicates with sufficient certainty that the assignor has executed a document which assigns to the assignee the debt formerly due to the assignor and that the debt must be paid to the assignee and not to the assignor2.
