1 Corporate insolvency: formal procedures

This title deals with the formal procedures relating to corporate insolvency, whereby the affairs of the company are placed in the hands of an office-holder, and its affairs, business and property are managed, and where appropriate, realised, wholly or mainly out of court. It does not, therefore, deal with the compulsory liquidation of companies by the court. The formal procedures covered are:

        Company voluntary arrangements (‘CVAs’) in accordance with Part I of the Insolvency Act 19861;

  2. 1.2

        Administration in accordance with Part II
