With both television and radio sponsorship, sponsored programmes must be clearly identified by reference to the name and/or logo of the sponsor2, and the relationship between sponsor and sponsored programme must be clear3. However, other rules for sponsorship credits differ significantly between radio and television. For radio, credits must be cleared for broadcast by the Radio Advertising Clearance Centre (‘RACC’) in the same way as advertisements4. No such requirement applies on television.
