Participants were encouraged to showcase recent and upcoming projects that involve significant investments in driving climate action, highlighting the environmental, economic, security and social benefits they bring. It is projected that by 2030, annual clean energy investment in both the UK and the US will need to increase more than sevenfold, surpassing $1tn, to achieve the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. Additional investments will also be required to address non-CO2 emissions, deforestation, forest loss and to adapt and build resilience against climate change.
