The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has relaunched its 'Your Farm, Your Future' campaign on the dangers of livestock. The relaunch of the campaign follows HSE's finding that the number one cause of work-related deaths on British farms in 2022–23 were incidents involving livestock. HSE's statistics show that livestock and farm vehicle incidents accounted for approximately half of all work-related deaths on British farms, with incidents involving motor vehicles remaining the leading cause of work-related deaths in the last five years. HSE has noted that hundreds of people have been injured in incidents involving moving vehicles and cattle on farms. The campaign focuses on work with livestock and is aimed at stressing the importance of taking measures to keep animals and people apart. The campaign highlights key aspects of using farm vehicles safely in and around the yard and sheds as well as in the fields when checking, feeding, moving and caring for a herd. HSE's 'Your Farm, Your Future' website offers advice and a checklist for working safely with livestock.

Through inspections, HSE found that there are too many businesses that do not have appropriate key control measures or health surveillance and is taking action against these manufacturers. Additionally, HSE found poor performance around metalworking fluids in businesses that use computer numerical control (CNC) machines and suggested that local exhaust ventilation be fitted on CNC machines to carry metalworking fluid mist away. HSE has created an online quiz to test knowledge on how best to protect workers.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has reported that two offshore commercial divers and the director of a diving company have received police cautions for fraud by false representation under the Fraud Act 2006. The HSE collaborated with the Fraud Investigation Team of Hampshire Police to investigate the divers and the company director. The divers worked as saturation divers, for which one requires an approved qualification. The HSE has asserted that this requires a certain level of diving experience. Only two schools in the world offer the relevant qualification and following communication with these schools the HSE investigated the claimed experience. The HSE uncovered that the divers had significantly less experience than was required and that the director of the diving company was unable to produce records of the claimed dives despite having signed and stamped the diver’s logbooks personally. An officer from Hampshire Police has commented that if offending continues, these individuals will face ‘severe consequences.’

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has updated its Product Safety Report following an industrial explosion involving a Diferro sublimation calender machine at Swindon's Groundwell Industrial Estate on 24 September 2025. Acting as market surveillance authority, HSE has directly contacted all known users of similar machinery, instructing them to consult the updated guidance and cease operations if in doubt. The revised guidance mandates that operators cease using these machines until a second independent Safety-Related Control System (SRCS) has been installed by a competent person and validated to appropriate standards. HSE is coordinating with UK border officials to prevent additional Diferro machines entering the country and is investigating possible links between the Swindon incident and a 2023 explosion at Treforest Industrial Estate, South Wales, which resulted in one fatality. The original Product Safety Report was first published in April 2024 following the South Wales incident.
