The Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (GPDP) has published guidance on methods to protect personal data published online, following the ongoing investigation into OpenAI’s web scraping. The guidance includes initial suggestions from the GPDP as to how public and private data controllers can prevent such data from being scraped. The GPDP also suggests other measures to protect personal data including creating reserved areas, including anti-scraping clauses in websites' terms of services and implementing specific measures against bots using technological solutions for web scraping.

GRECO (Group of States against Corruption), has published its Addendum to the Second Compliance Report for the United Kingdom, adopted at its 99th Plenary Meeting in March 2025. The report assesses implementation of GRECO’s 2017 recommendations on preventing corruption among top executive functions of government and law enforcement agencies. GRECO found that the UK has satisfactorily implemented eight of twelve recommendations, partly implemented three, and left one unimplemented. Notable reforms include giving the Independent Adviser on Ministerial Standards the power to initiate investigations without Prime Ministerial approval, updated transparency and disclosure guidance for ministers and senior officials, and the National Crime Agency’s adoption of a new disciplinary policy and confidential reporting tool. Remaining priorities include enhancing lobbying transparency, strengthening the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments (ACoBA), and introducing sanctions for breaches of post-employment rules. The report formally terminates GRECO’s fifth-round compliance procedure for the UK.

The Group of States Against Corruption (GRECO) has published it second fifth Round Compliance Report on the UK, after it was adopted by GRECO Plenary in June 2023. In its report, GRECO has concluded that the UK has satisfactorily implemented seven of the 12 recommendations made by GRECO in it’s 2017 Evaluation of the UK, titled ‘GRECO: UK 5th round evaluation report’, and partly implemented four recommendations. The 2017 report focused on preventing corruption amongst the top executive functions of government and law enforcement agencies in the UK. The government now has until 30 June 2024 to show its progress regarding the remaining recommendations.

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) have published a set of case studies to support companies in assessing and disclosing nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities. Published on 30 June 2025, the case studies feature seven publicly listed companies—CDL, Ecopetrol, Enel, Iberdrola, JSW Steel, Reckitt, and Vale—and demonstrate how GRI’s impact materiality approach and TNFD’s LEAP approach can be applied in a complementary manner. Aimed at enhancing transparency and consistency in nature-related reporting, the case studies also highlight the interoperability between the GRI Standards and TNFD Recommendations.

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) have published a joint interoperability mapping resource. This resource comprises a guidance document and correspondence table to assist GRI’s 14,000 reporters globally to align with the TNFD Recommendations and help TNFD Adopters in their sustainability reporting according to GRI Standards.

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) has launched the new mining standard (GRI 14: Mining Sector 2024) to address sustainability impacts within the mining sector. The standard addresses 25 topics and applies to all organisations engaged in mining and quarrying, including exploration and extraction, primary processing, and related support services. It enables mining companies to use a common set of metrics to report their impacts, and supports them in their disclosure and due diligence duties. The standard was developed through a multi-stakeholder approach and focuses on the sector’s economic, environmental, and social impacts.

It describes how HM Government classifies information assets to ensure they are appropriately protected. It applies to all information that Government collects, stores, processes, generates or shares to deliver services and conduct business.
