The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has announced that the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI), part of HM Treasury, will cease publication of its Consolidated List of Asset Freeze Targets on 28 January 2026. From that date, the UK Sanctions List will become the sole official source for all UK sanctions designations.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has announced that two new decisions and a corrigendum were adopted at the Withdrawal Agreement Joint Committee meeting on 16 May 2024. Decision No 1/2024 amends Decision of the Joint Committee No 1/2023 in relation to the application of UK tariff rate quotas on the importation of goods into Northern Ireland. Decision No 2/2024 allows a newly adopted Union act to be added to Annex 2 to the Windsor Framework, in relation to Regulation (EU) 2023/2419. Finally, a corrigendum has been made to Decision No 1/2023 in relation to the laying down arrangements of the Windsor Framework.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Prime Minister’s Office have announced that the UK, in a coordinated package with the United States, has sanctioned seven individuals and six entities that have enabled Iran’s attack on Israel. The individuals are subject to a travel ban and asset freeze, and the entities are subject to an asset freeze.

Presented to Parliament in August 2025, the bilateral treaty establishes new measures regarding border control between the two nations. The agreement has been formally published under reference CP 1377.

The sanctions form part of diplomatic efforts to address settler violence and settlement expansion while maintaining support for Israel's security. The joint statement emphasises the five nations' commitment to a two-state solution and calls on the Israeli government to end extremist rhetoric and uphold international law obligations.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has announced what it describes as the largest UK sanctions package against Russia since the early months of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, marking four years since 24 February 2022. It has introduced nearly 300 new sanctions targeting Russian energy revenues, military supply chains, financial institutions and other sectors identified as supporting Russia’s military operations. The measures include sanctions on PJSC Transneft, responsible for transporting more than 80% of Russian oil exports, as well as 175 companies linked to the ‘2Rivers’ oil network and 48 oil tankers associated with the transport of Russian crude. The package also designates 49 entities and individuals connected to military supply chains, three civil nuclear energy companies and two individuals involved in overseas nuclear projects, six targets in the liquefied natural gas sector, and nine Russian banks that process cross-border payments. FCDO states that the UK has now sanctioned over 3,000 individuals, businesses and ships under its Russia regime.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has announced the imposition of new UK sanctions to three illegal settler outposts and four organisations that have supported and sponsored extremist Israeli settlers in the West Bank. The sanctioned illegal settler outposts are: Tirzah Valley Farm Outpost, Meitarim Outpost, and Shuvi Eretz Outpost. The sanctioned organisations are: Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva, Hashomer Yosh, Torat Lechima and Amana. Forming part of wider government efforts to support a more stable West Bank, the measures are deemed 'vital' for the peace and security of both Palestinians and Israelis.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has announced that the UK will impose new sanctions on businesses which support the activity of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), military groups behind the conflict in Sudan. This action follows the UK’s £89m package of support to Sudan which mainly consisted of humanitarian aid. The sanctions will impose asset freezes on companies linked to the SAF and RSF and are intended to restrict the groups’ financial freedom. The new sanctions will affect Alkhaleej Bank, Al-Fakher Advanced Works and Red Rock Mining.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has announced unprecedented sanctions against two major Russian oil companies, Gazprom Neft and PJSC Surgutneftegas, in coordination with the United States. These sanctions, implemented under the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, SI 2019/855, target companies producing over 1 million barrels of oil daily, valued at approximately £23bn annually. The measure aims to significantly reduce Russia's ability to finance its war efforts in Ukraine by constraining its oil revenues, which constitute roughly a quarter of Russia's 2023 budget. This action follows previous sanctions on 93 vessels in Russia's shadow fleet, demonstrating the UK's commitment to exerting sustained pressure on Russia's energy sector and its capacity to fund military operations.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has announced new sanctions targeting ZSERVERS, a key Russian cybercrime syndicate, along with six of its members and its UK front company, XHOST Internet Solutions LP. This action aims to disrupt the infrastructure supporting ransomware attacks against the UK and its allies. The sanctions are part of a coordinated effort with US and Australian partners and follow recent measures against notorious ransomware groups LockBit and Evil Corp. The government's strategy focuses on dismantling the entire ransomware pipeline to protect UK national security and economic interests, aligning with its broader cybercrime disruption efforts.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has announced that it will provide funding worth £5 million to support UK funded programmes in Tunisia aimed at upskilling migrants and reducing irregular migration to the UK. An additional estimate of £1 million has been allocated to the International Organisation for Migration’s Assisted Voluntary Returns & Reintegration Programme (AVRR), aimed at supporting migrants in transit without legal status in Tunisia and facilitating their return and reintegration into their home countries. The Foreign Secretary will be accompanied in his visit to Tunisia by the recently-appointed Border Security Commander, Martin Hewitt to discuss with their Tunisian counterparts ways of strengthening cooperation on both countries’ fight against people smuggling and irregular migration. They will also meet members of the Tunisian National Guard who are using UK-supplied drones and night vision technology to intercept small boats carrying migrants.  These initiatives follow the recently introduced Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill, which is aimed at strengthening law enforcement against organised immigration crime.
