The Welsh Government has published a leaflet for the benefit of landlords with properties to rent, encouraging the use of the Welsh Government-backed Private Rented Sector Leasing Scheme. The new scheme offers a ‘guaranteed rental income for 5 years’, regardless of whether the property is occupied. Maintenance and repairs are managed by the local authority for the duration of the leasing scheme and a grant of up to £2,000 for improvements necessary to bring the property up to Welsh Government standards is also available.
