The government has announced that it is committed to long-term reform of adult social care by investing £1bn in additional funding for social care in 2021. The Budget has confirmed that the additional funding will continue for every year Parliament continues to stabilise the social care system. Funding will be provided over the next three years to help speed up the discharge of individuals with autism and learning disabilities into the community. The government is also providing £2.5m to help support families and vulnerable children, of which some of the funds will be used to create family hubs.
