Following reports that the UK government has suggested it would not be seeking involvement in the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court (UPC) systems, the House of Lords EU Justice Sub-Committee’s Chair wrote to the Intellectual Property Minister, Amanda Solloway, asking her to confirm the government's position on the UPC. In her letter of response (which has been published by the Sub-Committee) she confirmed that 'the Government will not be seeking the UK’s continued participation in the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court.'
