The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has announced that it will hold an open hearing for its consultation paper on environmental, social and governance (ESG) or sustainability-related terms in funds’ names on 23 January 2023 from 11am to 1pm Paris time. Registration will close on 19 January 2023 at 23:59 (Paris time). ESMA will consider the feedback provided through the open hearing, which provides an opportunity for stakeholders to hear more about ESMA’s consultation paper and to ask questions to ESMA staff related to the ongoing consultation. The consultation period ends on 20 February 2023.
