The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has announced that it is making changes to completeness checks on each incoming registration as set out in article 20 (2) of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulations from 1 May 2023. This comes following the amendments to the requirements for registration of chemicals made by the European Commission in 2021 and 2022. ECHA will start checking both new registrations and updates to existing ones against the revised requirements.
