The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has announced that CQC-registered care workers who look after people in their own homes will be offered weekly coronavirus (COVID-19) tests from 23 November 2020. It is hoped that frequent testing will pick up on any asymptomatic transmission of coronavirus and protect those they care for. The DHSC has also published guidance on how homecare agencies can order coronavirus test kits.
