The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) has published a progress report for 2015–2021 on marine plans in England. The report has been produced as required by section 61 of the Marine and Costal Access Act 2009. The marine plans outline a framework for consistent, evidence-based decision-making for potential investors and marine users. The plans are split into five regional areas and outlines intentions for amendments to both the East Marine Plans and South Marine Plans.
