The Welsh Government has announced that it will not be offering financial relief in relation to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic for companies which are headquartered in ‘recognised tax havens’. The decision also includes businesses owned by an individual or company living in a tax haven. The Minister for Finance, Rebecca Evans, declared that businesses which are not contributing tax payments to the Welsh economy should not benefit from the Welsh coronavirus resilience fund scheme.
