British gas network companies have launched a new project that will move the country to a zero carbon gas grid. According to the Energy Networks Association the Gas Goes Green project will move Britain's network of 284,000km of gas pipelines from methane-based natural gas to zero carbon hydrogen and biomethane. The switch will ensure that the British gas network infrastructure is ready for households and businesses to switch to hydrogen-ready boilers, helping the UK meet its climate change targets.
