(4)     Wages payable after termination

Wages which are referable to work done by a worker during the course of his contract but which are payable after termination unsurprisingly fall within the statutory definition of wages in s 27(1)(a): Robertson v Blackstone Franks Investment Management Ltd [1998] IRLR 376, CA. That case concerned commission payments which had been earned during the subsistence of the employment contract but which were due to be paid some weeks after it ended.
