Voyage charters may provide for discharge of the cargo to be completed in a given number of days within which the discharge is to take place1, or may fix it inferentially by providing that a given quantity of cargo is to be discharged per day2. This period begins when the vessel arrives3 at the agreed discharge port or berth and, according to the ordinary form of the term, written notice of readiness to discharge is given to the charterer
