Ofcom1 must, in each financial year2, determine an aggregate amount which it considers that it would be appropriate for the holders of Channel 3, Channel 4 and Channel 5 licences to contribute towards the expenses incurred by the nominated body3 in connection with the maintenance by it of a national television archive4.
A Channel 3, Channel 4 or Channel 5 licence must include conditions requiring the licence holder to pay to Ofcom, in respect of each financial year, such amount as it may notify to him for these purposes, being such proportion of the aggregate amount so determined for that
