The Insolvency Service has announced that Daryl Dylan has been disqualified from acting as a company director for seven-and-a-half years for his role in a scheme involving unauthorised banking transactions worth almost £14 million. Dylan directed Oldcocdt Ltd and Oldcostl Ltd, formerly known as C&D Transport Solutions Ltd and Six Ten Logistics Ltd respectively. He allowed unarranged overdrafts on the companies’ Barclays accounts to be used to make net payments totalling more than £1.6 million. Most of those payments were transferred to connected companies controlled by his half-brother, Scott Dylan and associates. Dylan failed adequately to monitor the use of the accounts or ensure that the funds could be repaid to Barclays on demand and failed to exercise the reasonable care, skill and diligence expected of a company director. Barclays obtained freezing orders in September 2021 and demanded repayment of £1,056,970 from Oldcocdt Ltd and £600,114 from Oldcostl Ltd. No repayments were made. Both companies entered liquidation in January 2022. Dylan signed a disqualification undertaking, which was accepted by the Secretary of State for Business and Trade on 17 July 2026. His ban takes effect on 7 August 2026. This disqualification brings the combined period of disqualification secured against the four directors in connection with the scheme to 38 years.

The Insolvency Service has announced that Cardiff businesswoman Rupali Wagh was sentenced to two years and three months’ imprisonment on 17 July 2026 after pleading guilty to five counts of fraud relating to fraudulent Bounce Back Loan applications made during the coronavirus pandemic. Following an Insolvency Service investigation, it was established that between May and September 2020 Wagh fraudulently obtained £216,250 in Bounce Back Loans across four companies by inflating business turnover figures, submitting duplicate loan applications for companies that were only entitled to one loan, and making false declarations. According to the Insolvency Service, Wagh transferred much of the loan proceeds into her personal bank account, using the funds to repay personal debts, purchase stocks and shares, and make overseas transfers rather than for legitimate business purposes. During the investigation, Wagh initially attempted to attribute one of the applications to a third party before admitting that she had acted alone. The Insolvency Service is seeking to recover the fraudulently obtained funds under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

The Insolvency Service has announced that the former director of Greensill Capital (UK) Limited, Greensill Limited and Greensill Capital Pty Limited, Lex Greensill, will be disqualified from acting as a company director in the UK for nine years. The Greensill Group collapsed in 2021 with combined liabilities of more than £1.6 billion. In late 2020, Greensill caused the three companies to enter into transactions with US construction company Katerra that removed legal protections underpinning the Credit Suisse (Lux) Supply Chain Finance Fund’s investment. Greensill also caused or allowed Greensill Capital (UK) Limited to use USD 440 million received in November 2020 for purposes other than redeeming notes owed to the Credit Suisse fund. His conduct constituted a breach of the duty to exercise reasonable care, skill and diligence as a company director under the Companies Act 2006. The Secretary of State for Business and Trade accepted a disqualification undertaking from Greensill, which will take effect on 23 June 2026 and prevent him from acting as a director or being involved in the promotion, formation or management of a company without court permission.
