Ofcom has published the latest statistics on broadband speed in the UK. Average download speeds of residential fixed broadband services were 25% higher than last year, while average upload speeds saw an increase of 54%. The statistics also showed that rural households and still lagging behind those in towns and cities in terms of broadband, but that the gap is becoming smaller.
