His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) has published new police performance data. The data shows the performance of 43 police forces across England and Wales, and compares it against the measures in the government’s beating crime plan. HMICFRS has worked with the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC), Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC), College of Policing, National Crime Agency (NCA) and Home Office to consolidate the data included, and it is hoped that the data will make it easier for police and crime commissioners to show how they are holding police forces to account.
