Equinor, one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies, has announced that it is leading a project to develop the world’s first at-scale facilities to produce hydrogen from natural gas in the UKs Humber region. The project is called Hydrogen to Humber Saltend (H2H Saltend) and will combine the hydrogen production with carbon capture and storage to support the government’s aims to establish at least one low carbon industrial cluster by 2030.
