The Department for Transport (DfT) has published the outcome of the consultation on the Great Britain road vehicle approval scheme. The DfT has said that most respondents who commented on the statutory plate options preferred Option 1, and of those who commented, there was a ‘broad agreement’ that the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) should accept EU technical reports and there should be a temporary waiver for converters to obtain GB type approval when the base vehicle has EU approval.
