Welsh Minister for Housing and Local Government, Julie James has announced the launch of a new £8m Tenancy Saver Loan scheme to help private rented sector tenants who are struggling with rent arrears due to coronavirus (COVID-19). The scheme is also open to those who may struggle to pay rent in the future because of coronavirus. The loan will be paid directly to landlords or agents, and the scheme will offer 1% APR loans to be repaid over up to five years. The scheme is open until 31 March 2020.
